This past weekend was a little crazy. With my wedding shower only a week away, Andrew and I were determined to get some spring cleaning done. No cupboards, closets or corners were left untouched, and now our little apartment is finally free from the big clutter we moved in with. With everything feeling so fresh and orderly, I thought it would be a perfect time for some changes….or at least some thought to change.
I wish when we moved in together I knew what I wanted, but trying to decorate and decide on a style scheme for each room seemed so overwhelming. I am by absolutely no means a designer, unless you count numerous tutorials and lessons from HGTV design shows. For me I just pick out pieces I love, and see if and how they work together. Now that I have had a chance to start to figure it out, here is what my ideal living space would incorporate: Grey, navy and cream colors with lots of textured pillows, patterns, and mixes of metallics. Maybe someday, piece by piece my wish list will become reality. :)
Curtains: I have wanted these panels since they came out at Athropologie! I love the big bold print.
Sofa: West Elm….Our next sofa must be a sectional and must be fabric. I am over the sticky leather.
Rug: I love this shag rug from West Elm. Just enough color so that it won’t show a lot of dirt, but would probably look amazing on some dark hardwood floors.
Pillows: A mix between Crate and Barrel and Target. I love a good patch of pillows.
Wall Art: Crate and Barrel…I think TWO of these on the wall would really warm a space!
Lamp: I love love love the metallic of this West Elm lamp it goes great with the…
Vases! Which are from Crate and Barrel.
Chair: The Chloe Chair from C&B has great pattern. A fluffy pillow and throw would be great for layering.
Side Table: I love the feeling of this table from West Elm. The color and design is perfection!
